This is my SG60 Music Tribute to Singapore!
As Singapore celebrates its 60 years (SG60) of independence on 9 August 2025, I want to pay my tribute to our local Singers and Bands who have left their creative and indelible marks on Singapore’s music scene.
I want to pay tribute to the locally brewed Music Greats who have put the “Sing” in Singapore that I have had the pleasure and honour to hang out, have enjoyable meals, share laughs and photograph them over the decades.

Lee Kuan Yew (above image). To me, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew is the ultimate rock star. He transformed this little rock in the ocean, this little swampy fishing port into a globally respected modern metropolis.
A signed print of the above image was duly presented to his son Lee Hsien Loong.

“Lee Kuan Yew – It’s Gonna Be Alright, Singapore!” Image (above image). Honoured to have this beloved image be featured in Straits Times.

Elizabeth Choy (above image). The band U2 featured Elizabeth Choy as a local heroine in their concert in their 2019 concert in Singapore. I quickly took a quick snap of this beloved moment of my dear friend.

Well-weathered Flight Cases – Destination: Singapore (above image). Seeing this pile well-weathered flight cases that was destined for Singapore, belonging to a world-famous rock band, struck a cord in me, as I appreciated how far Singapore has come, in being a formidable and respected regional music concert hub.

Kit Chan and Clement Chow (above image). Honoured to have these two National Day Songbirds visit my home.
Every National Day, we frequently hear Kit Chan’s “Home” and Clement Chow’s “Count On Me Singapore” played over the airwaves.
