Nick Cave

Nick Cave

This Blog is a tribute to Nick Cave, a Journeyman who is now in the rarified, revered league of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash.

I have collected his albums over the years, amazed at his deep wellspring of creativity and inner consciousness.

In 2010, Nick Cave was ranked the 19th greatest living lyricist in NME. Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers called Cave the greatest living songwriter in 2011. Rob O’Connor of Yahoo Music listed Cave as the 23th best lyricist in rock history.

I like how Dan Rose describes Cave – “a master of the disturbing narrative and chronicler of the extreme, though he is certainly capable of a subtle romantic vision. He does much to the listener who enters his world.”

Do refer to Wikipedia, for a comprehensive resume and achievements of Nick Cave.

Frank Kozik Figure

In 2014, my buddy, the late Frank Kozik collaborated with Nick Cave to do a limited edition Record Stores Day toy figure (above image). No one more deserving.

Limited to just 2,500, I thank Reuben R for gifting me one.

The prolific Nick Cave also wrote a novel – “And The Ass Saw The Angel” (above image). Published by Penguin Books no less. I thank (again) Reuben R for gifting me this great novel.

Long May You Run, Nick Cave!
