SG60 Flea Market / Jungle Party

SG60 Flea Market / Jungle Party

On 8 June 2025 (Sunday), I spent a glorious day manning a booth at the once and only SG60 Flea Market at Fook Hai Building in Chinatown.

Given a free booth at a flea market by Donovan Goh, this was my first time selling my stuff, assisted by my son.

Then at night, I attended a dear friend, Pat Chui’s birthday wild jungle-themed extravaganza at the legendary Raffles Hotel.

At the flea market and night party, I made new friends and caught up with old ones.

THE FAB FOUR

The Fabulous Organisers of the SG60 Flea Market – (L-R) Michael Poh (Viewpoint Trading and Collectibles), Donovan Goh (Old Habits Cafe), Derrick Tan (respected advertising signage collector) and David Wee (Wee’s Collections).

Four fun guys who made the SG60 Flea Market a spectacularly successful flea market event of the year! Congratulations, guys!

My happy cool Flabslab purchases from the flea market. I got Jeffrey Koh (Flabslab) a table and his booth was next to mine. It was great fun sharing conversations, laughs and food with him. We started out sharing a small 3′ by 3′ table then the organisers figured we’re selling cool stuff and we ended up with a table each. Thanks, Donovan and Derrick!

The Early Bird gets to Sell his Worms! I am the first to set up his booth. Sure enough, the street signs were snapped up, so did the ones I did not bring. Haha.

Thanks to Chee Lai Yong, Justin Chee, Heng Kia and wife. Patrick Tan, Timothy McIntyre, Mike Ozzo Ng, Ansel Lee, Nicole, Declan Lee, Hui Min, Ray Tay, Leonard Chia, Vincent Lee, Dylan Lee, Terrence Soo, Joshua for swinging by my booth.

Special Thanks to Yeo Hon Beng who bought my stuff two days before the flea market event!

Assisted by my son, my street signs were snapped up by keen collectors before the event even started (above image). Which explains the blank wall. What a great way to start the sales day! The collectors even asked me what other goodies I had at home, and bought up those too.

Bought this awesome SG60 flea market Merlion mascot figure, from Donovan Goh’s Old Habits booth. Go visit Old Habits, his cool memorabilia restaurant. He keeps my special two-seated table reserved for me whenever I go there.

Looking forward to SG70 Flea Market!
