Paid Cash

Paid Cash

As 2025 comes to a conclusion, although for some it’s a concussion, I am compelled to pen this short, precautionary blog about Financial Prowess.

I love the notion of “Paid Cash”. Always try to pay cold-hard cash for every purchase you make so you will feel the burn.

Buy only what you can afford and do not occur unnecessary debt. Always pay your monthly credit card debt in full.

My used US authentic Washington September 1992 “PAIDCSH” license plate (above image). A cherished Christmas gift from my family. A reminder not to be in unnecessary debt.

I just attended Singapore Comic Convention last weekend, let me share a cosplay theme with you – Financial Cosplayers – those pretending to be rich, showing off their debt-filled bling.

Health is the most important wealth currency. Friendship is a close second.

As the world has become jittery, Cash Is King. Still is and always will be.

They say Keep Your Powder Dry. Use it to kill the Black Swan. I see Black Swans as buying opportunities, not as doomsday vultures.

My used US authentic New Hampshire February 1999 “BLKSWN” license plate (above image). I view a Black Swan as a buying opportunity.

Spend less on impulse buying, especially on 1.1, 2.2 , 3.3 etc enticing discount sales. Invest wisely with those savings you didn’t spend, let Compounding do its magic.

Always buy purchases with your Profits.

The Truly Rich are those who realise they have Enough.

Envy is a poisonous drug, it makes you believe you must keep up with the Joneses, when no one is bothering about you because they’re too busy looking at themselves and their bling.

The best time to sell something is not to buy it in the first place.

Wisdom isn’t about knowing more, it’s about who and what to ignore.

Do not invest in things you cannot see, do not understand, cannot describe its compelling proposition in a few seconds, in a few simple words.

Don’t be the richest man in the cemetery.

The ultimate purpose of wealth is to buy time and freedom (from noise).

Money isn’t nothing, it shouldn’t be the only thing.

Buy on the low – 7 D’s why Sellers sell – death, divorce, disease, distress, dullness, departure and disagreement.

Every stock market crash transfers money from the impatient to the prepared.

Below are my three favourites –

Wealth is not about how much you make – it is the gap between how much you make and how much you spend.

First, build your wealth, then let wealth work for you.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Have a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2026!
