A short blog on the fascinating Llama book that I’m currently reading and the Llama portrait I took, with Blondie band members in photobomb pose. Or was it the other way around?
“Llamas beyond the Andes: Untold Stories of Camelids in the Modern World” by Marcia Stephenson (2023).
I find Llamas fascinating.
Camelids are members of the Camelidae animal family which include camels, llamas, alpacas, vicunas and guanacos.
I was in Woodstock, in 2017, on an album photoshoot with the iconic band Blondie when they were recording their best-selling “Panic Of Girls” album. During the photoshoot, I did a double take when I caught sight of a lone Llama in a nearby farm.
I got the Blondie band members to pose with the curious Llama. When the Llama glanced at the band, I quickly took the spilt-second shot.

One of my favourite all-time Llama portraits. Wink.
