This is an Investment-themed Blog about achieving the Ultimate Prize in the fine-art of Investing. Not getting obscenely More and not getting disappointingly Less. Just about right. Enough!
To have Enough is to be Happy.
Folks, Enough leads to Contentment, leads to Less Stress, leads to Good Health. Good Health is the ultimate Wealth. Ask a Billionaire who, unfortunately, has stage-4 cancer.
I tell my friends – my pants have two pockets – one’s to keep my wallet. The other’s to keep my “pixie dust“, ready to bless the lost, the last and the least. In giving, I feel rich.
Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get.
“To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness” – Bertrand Russell.
“There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.” – Thich Nhat Hanh.

My Used US “ENOUGH” November 1994 License Plate (above image). It’s a subtle sign reminding me of my contentment and to tell me to stop chasing excess.
“The first rule of Happiness is low expectations.” – Morgan Housel.
Wealth is having money, Prosperity is enjoying it.
Thankful People are Happy People.
Let’s start with this crucial financial principle, not taught in MBA school – If you’re an unhappy person, it’s unlikely that more money will make you happy.
MBA school also teaches you to maximise your wealth. I’ve found to get more wealth, you must share your wealth in enriching the poor, especially those who cannot pay you back. More blessings will come your way.
Be an Angel to others. Soon real Angels will gather around you.
I’m glad to have reached that state of contentment where I’m no longer in a chasing mode.
A Good Life is having everything you Need and some of what you Want.
“Avoid debt, drama and stupid people”, said Charlie Munger. May I light-heartedly add “drains” to this list?
I read somewhere – “The best drink you will ever taste is a glass of tap water when you are thirsty. The best meal you will ever eat is cheap food when you are starving. The best sleep you will ever experience is when your newborn allows you to sneak in a quick nap.”
Being controlled by money is a hidden form of debt.
Whilst I marvel at people who own businesses, sometimes I have to wonder if they actually own the businesses or do the businesses owns them?
The best measure of wealth is what you have minus what you want.
“Not needing wealth is more powerful than wealth itself” – Stoic saying.
The danger is having excessive money is always buying the useless stuff you don’t yet have or want.
They say, in show business, “sell the sizzle, not the steak.” As for me I like my steak, medium. I like to savour the flavour of the meat.
“The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it” – William Jambs.
“The more you have been snubbed in your life, while poor, the more you enjoy displaying your wealth.” – Robert Quillen.
Having said that, accept people as they are but place them where they belong.
Bragging is the inverse of how satisfied you are with your life.
Nowadays people know the price of everything but the value of nothing.
To be truly happy you must eliminate two things – the fear of a bad future and the memory of a bad past.
Humility does not mean you think less of yourself; it means you think of yourself less.
An “Enough” Thought –
“What on earth could be more luxurious than a sofa, a book and a cup of coffee.” – Anthony Trollope.
