This is my Tribute to my pal Debbie Harry who has recently celebrated her 80th Anniversary on Earth.

As I mentioned in my well-wishes email to her (above image), “8” is an auspicious number for the Chinese.
As Debbie correctly adds, “8” is associated with Infinity. Which happens to be a word I equate with the Legacy of Blondie.
Debbie has aged well, walked a glamorous journey, whilst remaining “punk” at heart. She has never compromised being who she really is. Not easy in a fickle music world where adoration for heroes change like the shapes of clouds in the sky.
As I also mentioned in my email, Debbie has been a personal Role Model to me. She lived her Life to the unique beats of her Drums.
Debbie is a stoic, defiant Punk Warrior and Fashion Icon who has done it all against all odds, wrote and sang on tons of iconic (Blondie and solo) songs, met all the coolest icons, gets invited to all the top tier events adorning the coolest clothes.
Sharp and astute, Debbie is the only rock star that is a beloved and respected Media Darling that never had a negative write-up on her.
I have met up with Debbie numerous times over the decades both locally and in USA.
Here are some highlights of our meetings (below).

Me and Debbie at an Invite-only Event in New York City (above image).

Blondie Debbie as a Brunette! (above image). At a Halloween concert at Brooklyn Museum, New York City, 29 October 2009.

Having Debbie driving me exclusively around the town of Woodstock (2010) is a Major High Point in my Life (above image). In her new three-day-old Ford Mustang muscle car.

Signed Blondie Japan Concert Poster (above image). After Blondie’s sold-out concert in Singapore, Chris Stein told me to go to their hotel concierge the following day to collect a surprise package from the band. A kind present from all the band members to me. Thanks, guys! The framed poster is displayed prominently by my staircase.
Happy 80th Birthday, De88ie!
May You Stay Happy, Lucky, Healthy & Forever Stoically Young!
