Star Wars Galactic Beach BBQ 2026

Star Wars Galactic Beach BBQ 2026

On 18 July 2026 (Saturday), I headed towards the coast for a rambunctious Beach BBQ with the good folks from the Star Wars 501st Legion Singapore Garrison and the Fightsaber gangs. For the galactic record, all 501st Legion Singapore Garrison and Fightsaber events are always rambunctious. Thanks for the invite, guys!

The fun BBQ session was orgainsed by501st Legion Singapore Garrison Command Team led by my buddy, Ray Tay.

As always, I caught up with crazy old friends and made new fun ones.

This was the second time I went to the sea side with the 501st Legion Singapore Garrison.

The first time was to fulfill a 501st Legion Singapore Garrison request for a local version of the Rogue One movie poster styled group portrait (above image).

Two Dawgs (above image). A Wookiee (my racing shirt) and a pram-pampered pomeranian named Kiko. Both pooches were well-behaved.

Three Eddies (above image). For goodness sake! (spiritual pun), what do two Eddies do when they get together? Say Hi to Eddie Ching, the resident beach sake bartender for the BBQ session. Check out my official Eddie Van Halen beach shorts.

Kimberly Chaw’s Steamed Seabass Delight (above image). There were a wide range of the usual mouth-watering, choresterol/calories rich BBQ grubs like sausages, satays, various sodas, beers, marsh mellows, curry puffs, fruits, chicken nuggets, fishballs, etc. But Kim brought the whole galactic Michelin gastronomic level up a warp-speed notch or two.

Ardennian Flat Meat Fry (above image). As seen in the “Mandalorian and Grogu” movie.

Kimberly Chaw’s Galactic Forcemeat #1 Delight (above image). Homemade meatloaf (pork, beef and chicken) with sauteed onions, coloured with blue spirulina for the iconic galactic touch.

Kimberly Chaw’s Galactic Forcemeat #2 Delight (above image). Homemade luncheon meat (pork shoulder, pork belly, applewood ham) with sauteed onions, coloured with blue spirulina for the iconic galactic touch.

My Sinful Smoking Dessert Contributions (above image). Mala broad beans & peanuts and Doritos (Smokin’ BBQ and Spicy Nachos). Goes with beers, whiskeys and sake.

Fightsabers In Action (above image). This happened when the BBQ meat ran out and we wanted some (involuntary) human sacrifices. Kidding.

Multi-Starred “Michelim” BBQ Master Chef, Hansen Khoo (above image). By 10.36pm, after feeding the hungry hordes, Hansen finally takes a break. He is contented communicating with his starry friends in the sky.

Me with the trade-healthy harborlights behind me (above image). A refreshing breeze constantly blowing and the makeshift sake bar (ably helmed by Eddie Ching) behind my back, what else does one need? Photo courtesy of Tyrene Teo.

Well, some cool exclusive Star Wars gifts from dear friends are always welcome! See below.

Just before the stroke of midnight, some of us made our way home for a refreshing grease-removing shower.

I look forward to another rambunctious Star Wars Beach BBQ in 2027!
