This is a Blog about my Happy Childhood and a toy car company – Hot Wheels – that I associate my happy childhood with, and the childhood friends I hung out with. In fact, I just had dinner with one of them last night. And I gifted him a sought-after Hot Wheels Monopoly toy car. I used to spend my childhood years going to Johnny Wee’s home to admire his latest Hot Wheels purchases.
Amazingly, I’m still buying Hot Wheels toy cars, albeit on a very selective (debatable) basis.
Some people take health supplements to stay young. I simply surround myself with cool, fun, like-minded creative friends and cool, childhood toys. And always Being My Unique Self! The only one in this world!
Do Periodically Tickle your Happy Hormones – Dopamine, Endorphins, Serotonin and Oxytocin!
Die with a Smile on your Face.
Don’t be boring, don’t be scared of what people may say of you, go do “Your Thing” and don’t die forgotten.
If you want to look young (and happy), first feel and be young (and happy). Then you’ll look young (and happy). Being young and happy is an inside job!
My Hot Wheels “Authorized Dealer” Metal Sign (above image). With my Hot Wheels purchases, it’s never about the hunt. Most of the time I’ll buy something cool if it’s right in front of me or if friends offer to sell something (sought-after) to me. No stress.
The only problem is I have many cool friends and they have many cool stuff.
My Hot Wheels Beatles Collection (above image). Of the many Beatles toy designs out there, these were the only ones which spoke to me, design-wise.
My Hot Wheels Led Zeppelin Collection (above image). With the blister pack design packaging, they are artworks. The rest of the other Led Zeppelin car blister-pack designs didn’t appeal to me.
My Hot Wheels Snake and Mongoose Dragsters Collection – 1 – Proudly Displayed (above image). Dragsters with lift-up bodies. Bought individually during my travels.
I remember assembling the Revell Snake and Mongoose Dragsters model kits when I was young. Too old and impatient to assemble model kit toys these days, I conveniently acquired these diecast ones instead. Haha.

As a young lad, I fondly remember following the counter-culture drag-racing escapades of Don “The Snake” Prudhomme (yellow Plymouth Barracuda) and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen (red Plymouth Duster).
Having these toys around simply brings a knowing smile on my face and quiet contentment in my heart. A kilogram of dopamine fix right there!
The sentimental nostalgic toys are like having old friends around in my home.
Money well spent if you asked (or didn’t ask) me.

The raw silver toy car was once sought-after, and everyone and his mother-in-law tried to flip it for profits. Then as always, supply exceeded demand. My friend had 20 in his possession and I relieved four from him, for gifts (as good luck charms) to my friends’ businesses.
The iconic Monopoly cartoon mascot of the Monopoly game is officially named “Milburn Pennybags” or “Rich Uncle Pennybags“.
The Monopoly car token is modeled after a 1930s Midget race car, symbolisng speed, glamour, and wealth.
My Hot Wheels Flintstones Monster Trucks Collection (above image). Stone-age carriages equipped with wooden ladders and giant wheels, Fred Flintstone will be pleased.
My Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Collection – Small 1:64 Format (above image). Being monster toughies, I just let them scrummage happily around. I especially love the Batmobile, “Back To The Future” DeLorean, Barbie, Siracha, S’Cool Buses, and VW Tie-Dye Hippie Van monster trucks.
My Hot Wheels Monster Trucks – Large 1:24 Format (above image). I use my Texas March 1979 “TOY VET” used license plate (as in Toy Veteran or Toy Veterinary) as size dimension reference for the Large Format Monster Trucks. They sure are tough and heavy.
My Hot Wheels Skeletor Monster Truck & MTV Headbangers Ball Tour Bus (above image). I bought these for no other reason than they rock! The best reason, isn’t it?
My Hot Wheels Snoopy Dog House Racer and “Hot Willy” Flight Tag (above image). I love Snoopy’s fighting “never say die” spirit. The “Hot Willy” Flight Tag is a kind gift from Flabslab.
Hot Wheels brought immense Joy to my Childhood Memories. And more importantly, continues to do so.
