Recent Sonic Nourishments

For the month of February 2026, I had received my Sonic Nourishments in the mail. All my CDs orders arrived intact.

One of the great fun of ordering online stuff is that when the stuff arrives, you don’t know what is in the parcel. Mostly, the incoming parcels contain one to two CDs.

I have been buying those obscure albums from my teenage years that I missed or could not afford then as a young lad.

Good Music is the Healing Balm, especially crucial in these chaotic times. The retro albums and accompanying songs were written and produced in less political, racist, divisive and complex times.

My Recent February 2026 CD Album Purchases (above image).

Of note, I acquired the earlier albums of Pink Floyd – “Ummagumma”, “A Saucer Full Of Secrets”, “Atom Heart Mother”, “More”, “Obscured By Clouds”, “The Later Years – 1987-2017”, “A Momentary Lapse Of Reason” (my second copy), and “The Endless River(CD/DVD). I may not have been ready to appreciate these earlier psychedelic works. I also acquired Dave Gilmour’s “Strange And Luck Live” album for good measure.

I also caught with the 1970s-era Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons“Half And Half” (with six bonus tracks) and rare Frankie Valli Is The Word / Heaven Above Us”.

I rounded up the acquisitions with Gary Numan’s newly released, remastered “Telekon: 45th Anniversary”, Fleetwood Mac’s newly released “Rumours Live“, Pet Shop Boys’ “Disco 1“, Beach Boys “The Very Best Of: Sounds Of Summer”, Kitaro’s “Tenku” and Nilsson’s “Duit On Mon Dei / Sandman”.

I like to hear and touch my CD Albums, read the credits (who produced the album, who shot the cover and album images, who played the various instruments, lyrics and witty credit notes etc.). Plus the money goes indirectly to the recording artists.

It’s always been the CD format for me because, unfortunately, I do not possess the patience to get up from my sofa every 25 minutes to physically flip the vinyl to the other side.

I appreciated my album listening pleasure to be focussed uninterrupted (no album flipping every 25 minutes), in remastered hi-resolution, and with unreleased, bonus tracks!
