Sir Peter Blake is the greatest living English Pop Artist legend.
He designed the iconic landmark Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover in 1967. He also designed the cover of the Band-Aid single “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” as well the Live Aid concert poster in 1982.
I’m lucky to have acquire Sir Peter Blake’s signed works of art over the years, direct from the maestro himself.
At 91 years young, Sir Blake is still busy churning out awesome pop art. His recent project, just out on 15 March 2024, is for Mark Knopfler’s “Going Home” charity single cover, with proceeds going to support the Teenage Cancer Trust. The epic 9 minute song features guitar solos from more than 60 famous guitar heroes.
